confirm
verb
Establish the truth or correctness of (something previously believed or suspected to be the case).
Example: I would be grateful, therefore, if you could confirm in writing that the monthly fee will no longer be deducted from my bank account.
deduct
verb
Subtract or take away (an amount or part) from a total.
Example: I would be grateful, therefore, if you could confirm in writing that the monthly fee will no longer be deducted from my bank account.
fortunate
adjective
Favoured by or involving good luck; lucky.
Example: I have also been fortunate enough to play in some of the inter-club tennis tournaments.
grateful
adjective
Feeling or showing an appreciation for something done or received.
Example: I would be grateful, therefore, if you could confirm in writing that the monthly fee will no longer be deducted from my bank account.
membership
noun
The fact of being a member of a group.
Example: I have thoroughly enjoyed my club membership.
opportunity
noun
A time or set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something.
Example: It has provided me with useful opportunities to meet up with other young people and to participate in a number of social activities.
regret
verb
Feel sad, repentant, or disappointed over (something that one has done or failed to do).
Example: I regret that I no longer wish to continue my membership.
shortly
adverb
In a short time; soon.
Example: I will shortly be returning to my home country.
social activity
noun phrase
Activity considered appropriate on social occasions. group action - action taken by a group of people.
Example: It has provided me with useful opportunities to meet up with other young people and to participate in a number of social activities.
thoroughly
adverb
In a thorough manner.
Example: I have thoroughly enjoyed my club membership.
